Fresh mint melon smoothie

Oh goodness, my past week has been filled with “come“, “sit“, “down” … yes that’s right, dog training has taken a front seat in my funny life … and I’m loving it! Oliver is kinda my joy maker at the moment! So needless to say, it’s been a bit difficult gathering material for the ol’ blog lately. That’s alright though, I’m slowly incorporating having this lil bundle of happiness into my regular routine and getting back on track with family + friends, sleep, running, yoga, photography + cooking. My other joy makers!
For today’s post, I wanted to share with you a simple + refreshing smoothie I threw together over the weekend. It’s light, it’s bright, it’s everything right!
in the heart of the Canadian prairies, we’ve been experiencing a perfect heat wave. A kind of summer that’s meant to be. +30, yes please! And as promised here is another recipe showcasing some of my lovely garden herbs. So here’s a cool drink you can make that will undoubtedly refresh your mind, body and soul. I absolutely love the combination of honeydew melon, cucumber and lime…then the beautiful aromatic addition of mint. Mmmm, the mint is key!

Equipment

  • 1 blender

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup chopped honeydew melon
  • 1/2 cup peeled and chopped garden cucumber
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1 frozen ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp natural honey
  • juice from 1 lime

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and mix together until you have your desired consistency.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!
