Homemade Chili Beef and Beans

- 1 lb. Ground beef
- 2 tablespoons light olive oil
- 1 medium red onion chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes dried
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin ground
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 can of baked beans
- 1 cup sweetcorn kernels
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup tomato puree
- salt and black pepper to taste
Add your olive oil into a pan over moderate heat. Stir-fry garlic and onion for about 1-minute or until aromatic. Add the dried chili, paprika, and cumin. Cook and stir for about 30 seconds.
Add your ground beef and cook for 5-minutes or until browned, stirring often.
Add the baked beans, puree, tomato, corn, and tomato paste to the pan. Lower the pan heat and simmer for about 30-minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Transfer into a serving dish.
