Homemade Chili Beef and Beans

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons light olive oil
  • 1 medium red onion chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin ground
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 can of baked beans
  • 1 cup sweetcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • 1 simmer
  • 1 serving dish

Method
 

  1. Add your olive oil into a pan over moderate heat. Stir-fry garlic and onion for about 1-minute or until aromatic. Add the dried chili, paprika, and cumin. Cook and stir for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add your ground beef and cook for 5-minutes or until browned, stirring often.
  3. Add the baked beans, puree, tomato, corn, and tomato paste to the pan. Lower the pan heat and simmer for about 30-minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. Transfer into a serving dish.
  5. Serve and Enjoy!
